JAPAN DESIGN WEEK in Hong Kong 2017
"JAPAN DESIGN WEEK in Hong Kong 2017" will be held during Japanese Sake festival "En Nichi" at PMQ in Hong Kong. At the festival when Hong Kong local visits for experiencing Japanese culture through drinking Japanese sake and food, we will show the movie of JAPAN DESIGN WEEK, held in cities of Japan and exhibit glowing picture art gallery, created by Japanese artist, Akihiro Nishino.
Previously home to the Police Married Quarters, the newly revitalised PMQ is now a home to artists and designer studios, and also to many brands. PMQ strives to establish itself as an ICON of Hong Kong creative industries that shines in the region, showcase HK’s high quality brands and build success in the international market; and elevate the appreciation of the value created by design and innovation. The major task is to transform a historical compound and develop it into a unique hub of broad appeal to serve the evolving creative industries. The Foundation was co-founded by Stanley Chu, Lawrence Fung and Leong Ka-chai in 2008. It is a non-profit-making charity committed to promoting creativity, education, arts and culture.
Akihiro Nishino Glowing Picture Book Exhibition
To accomplish the goal of issuing one million copies of the picture book "Poupelle of Chimney Town", the author Akihiro Nishino promotes in various cities in the world including Helsinki, Finland. He displays the picture book at the venue and presents with 41 glowing picture art gallery with LED embedded. Visitors can experience his unique and artistic point view.

JAPAN DESIGN WEEK -MOVIE-
We will show the movie of JAPAN DESIGN WEEK, held throughout Japan as a regional revitalization project. The movie introduces contents of the events, held in Hirosaki city in Aomori Prefecture, Asuka district in Nara Prefecture, Fujisawa city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Ureshino city in Saga Prefecture in 2016 and 2017.
